Emergency Respiratory Respiration System
This page is under construction!
Project Overview
Our team is working to develop a cost-effective, emergency respiratory air filtration system for use in Sub-Saharan Africa. This device will be beneficial for humans of all ages who are breathing low quality air during emergency situations.
Casing
The casing sub team is focusing on creating a lightweight and compact unit to house the filtration and controls components. Currently the team is focusing on creating a CAD model of their design, while keeping standards, materials and the requirements of the other teams in mind.
Controls
The controls sub team is focusing on the code required to make the system run efficiently. The team is currently working on coding the buttons that will control when the system is turned on, off, and when the pressurization is activated. Depending on the age, sex, and weight of the patient will decide what button to press to have the optimized amount of air expelled throughout the system.
Filtration
The filtration sub team is finding a low cost, high quality filter to implement withing this system. Currently the team is working to assemble to filter and tubing system, while looking forward at the coding of the fan that they have chosen to use to push the air through the system.
